The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
ObamaCare, signed into law on March 23, 2010, is the common name for The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. This act establishes a federally run Health Care System in the United States of America.
Though this act was signed into law by President Barack Obama, and soon became known as “ObamaCare”, it was originally modeled off of a health care reform in Massachusetts called “RomneyCare”. However, the ideas behind ObamaCare and RomneyCare have been the result of years of ideas from both democrats and republicans combined.
